Packed with safety, style and technology.

Iconic style. Distinctive looks.

Golf is the Volkswagen all-rounder. The classic hatchback refined over 40 years.

Iconic down to the last detail the Golf reflects the Volkswagen DNA. Stylish with exceptional build and craftsmanship. The Golf range has grown over the years and the family now includes multiple trim levels and performance models. Not to mention a pure electric model too.

Body design

The Golf has a well-designed, strong, distinctive face. From the front the halogen clear headlights sit into the slick black radiator grille. The front air intake, body-coloured bumpers (front and rear) create a lower, sportier look. The coloured wing mirrors hang off the doorframe line creating better all-round vision. And the integrated rear lights blend harmoniously with the bodywork creating a precise look and feel.

Alloy wheels

The Golf has a huge range of stylish alloy wheels from 15" to 19". The alloys are lightweight and durable and improve your car's handling as well as making it look good.

Boot space

The Golf has a drop floor feature, which allows you to extend the boot capacity by dropping the boot floor down. That's about two nine-year-old children, one two-year-old spaniel, a picnic hamper, 3 rucksacks, two kites, one football and a dog bowl.

Interior space

The rear seats comfortably hold three adults with legroom. There is a rear seat armrest too for comfort and dividing the space equally between fighting siblings.

Dashboard design

The dashboard and centre console are angled towards the driver, so all the controls are optimally positioned so the information is clearly on view for the driver.

Technology & Safety.

Leading the way to the future.

Composition media

The latest generation of the Composition Media system is equipped with a 6.5 inch colour touch-screen that displays the DAB radio, driver tips and journey analysis, car information, title and cover art display. Compatible with Android smartphones you get SMS functionality, Bluetooth telephone and audio connection which allows you to simultaneously pair two mobile devices within the car.

Discover Pro

Leading the way to the future is the Discover Navigation Pro touch-screen navigation/DVD, DAB radio system with integrated voice activation with Car-Net ‘Guide and Inform Plus’3 and Car-Net ‘App-Connect’ 4. This system allows you to easily manage, your music, sat navigation data, mobile connectivity and vehicle information.

Adaptive cruise control

ACC will adjust your speed to that of the vehicle in front, keep your specified distance and warn you if you are approaching too fast.

Emergency city braking

This system takes intelligent control of your driving speed by automatically braking if the sensor detects the risk of a collision.

Parking sensors

These sensors assist parking manoeuvres by emitting both audible and visual signals, alerting the driver to any obstacles in the way.

Driver alert system

If several erratic steering movements happen one after the other, the Driver Alert system recommends taking a break via visual and acoustic signals to the driver and even intervenes in critical driving situations.

Sporty and powerful.

Our TDI diesel engines are designed with the aim of being economical, powerful and smooth by combining turbocharging with common rail direct injection technology. Alternatively our TSI petrol engines combine downsizing, turbocharging and direct injection technology to deliver torque at low engine speeds, helping to reduce fuel consumption and noise levels, while ensuring consistent power.

The ACT (Active Cylinder Technology) is another technological advancement in the Golf. When driving with an engine speed of between 1,000 and 4,000rpm and at speeds of up to approximately 80mph, where the law permits, two of the four cylinders can be completely, and imperceptibly deactivated, regardless of the gear you are in. This optimises the engine’s efficiency and can ultimately help to reduce fuel consumption and CO2 emissions, depending on the driving situation. ACT (Active Cylinder Technology) is only available with the 1.4 litre TSI ACT 150 PS engine.
